SCLT Recreation Volunteer Open House
Are you interested in helping create ways to connect with nature and the outdoors in fun, healthy, and meaningful ways? Join SCLT Recreation Program Manager Jared Koenig for a Recreation Volunteer Open House to learn how you can help.
You will learn how you can help:
- Build new trails
- Want to be a part of blazing in a new trail? Learn about the tools and process and sign up for classes to build your skills.
- Maintain community trails.
- Do you know what to look for to keep our trails in tip top shape? Learn about spotting maintenance needs, how to report them, or sign up for classes to learn how to fix them.
- Maintain trail equipment.
- Looking for a way to volunteer off of the trail as well? Learn about all of the trail tools and equipment needs.
- Make community trails fun and welcoming for everyone.
- Do you like chatting with your fellow trail users? Learn about SCLT trail system maps and guides and how to share those resources with others.
- Share your skills and knowledge of nature and the outdoors with our community.
- Have a skill or knowledge that you would like to pass along? From riding bikes to understanding geology, learn about opportunities to connect your community to recreation.
When: Wednesday, December 4, from 5-7 p.m.
Where: SCLT Community Rooms at 14 Lane Lane.
