Zeedyk Volunteer Day

POSTPONED UNTIL SPRING

Sign up to below to receive updates about this event when it is rescheduled.

Want to help prevent erosion and heal local lands? Join SCLT for a Zeedyk Volunteer Day where you can help build low-tech, cutting-edge structures that can help prevent erosion and let water soak into the soil so more vegetation grows, supporting livestock and local wildlife. Zeedyks have a proven history of success across the Mountain West. SCLT is working with local ranch families to install these helpful structures.

When: Saturday, October 21 from 9 am to 3 pm

Where: Take Exit 9 off I-90 (Ranchester exit). We will meet at the dirt road on the North side of the exit. See map. We will carpool to the work site.

What you will do: You will help build Zeedyk structures. This includes moving and building with rocks using hand tools such as shovels and picks.

What you should bring: Please wear close-toed shoes. Bring water and wear layers appropriate for weather conditions.

What SCLT will provide: Hand tools, gloves, snacks, beverages. We will grill burgers for lunch.

SCLT thanks the Masters family for choosing to install these Zeedyk structures and donating burgers for lunch.

The event is finished.
