As the Executive Director for the Sheridan Community Land Trust, Brad is lucky to work with a great staff and Board of Directors. Sheridan Community Land Trust’s focus on access, conservation, and history all resonate with Brad. Originally from eastern Iowa, his entire professional career has been in conservation and natural resources in the West. Prior to joining Sheridan Community Land Trust, Brad worked for Montana State University Extension and with The Nature Conservancy in Montana. Brad enjoys being outside and can often be found on a bicycle, spending the weekend hunting, or locating new places to camp.

Evelyn comes to Sheridan County from upstate New York, where she spent her formative years camping, kayaking, hiking and skiing – the latter of which she’s been doing since third grade. Upon earning a degree in Biology from Syracuse University and a pandemic-paused study abroad in Ireland, Evelyn was inspired to serve with AmeriCorps after hearing about the experience from a cousin.
She was paired with Antelope Butte and joined the AB team in November. “It sounded pretty awesome to ski all winter!” she declared. As the mountains open to non-snow-based recreation, Evelyn says she’s looking forward to exploring everything the Bighorns have to offer and is blocking out time for a trip to Yellowstone.

Will brings a passion for conservation and recreation to his work. As a veteran of the Wyoming Conservation Corps, he’s helped build and maintain trails across our state and beyond. When he’s not on the trail, you can find him mountain biking, hunting, fishing, and rock climbing.

Carrie brings a background with community engagement projects, new media, and event coordination. Carrie began her time with SCLT as an AmeriCorps VISTA in historical education. She will continue to work on projects to tell our local history through the lens of our natural resources, landscapes, and diverse cultures. She is currently serving on the Sheridan County Historic Preservation Commission. Carrie is also a working artist and enjoys doing some day hiking in the Bighorn Mountains and SCLT trails.

Susan is a Wyoming native with a love of nature and outdoor recreation that took root in the Bighorn Mountains. Her career focus has been on business operations, data analysis & visualization, copy editing, and project management. She has a passion for optimizing business processes and organizing just about anything!

Meghan is SCLT’s first-ever conservation manager. She works with local families to conserve their land and partners with other groups to make our lands and waters more resilient. She grew up in Laramie, where she attended UW and organized conservation opportunities through a local volunteer group. Meghan loves being outdoors, especially on a mountain bike or skis. She is enjoying exploring our beautiful Bighorns backyard.

Tami designs trails, wrangles volunteers, and brings a polished shine to new trail construction. Originally from MN, Tami headed west for adventure and can’t remember a time when being active outdoors was not a driving force in her life. Tami and her husband Jim landed in Sheridan 22 years ago. In that time they’ve gotten to know and love Sheridan’s outdoor spaces well. Gravitating towards SCLT came naturally and Tami is thrilled to help enhance outdoor recreation opportunities for her community.

Chris comes to SCLT with a background in fisheries science and nearly a decade of experience in community journalism. When looking for a new adventure, he found the land trust’s core missions of conservation, trails and recreation, and historic preservation lined up well with his passion for the outdoors – especially anything fishing. From that first drive up Red Grade to each trip into Tongue Canyon, Chris knew Sheridan was the kind of community to which he wanted to belong.

Lila Walker joins SCLT as a Big Sky Watershed Corps member. She’ll split time working with the public to help develop a countywide drought mitigation plan for SCLT and conducting water quality monitoring for Sheridan County Conservation District.
Hailing from Richmond, Va., Lila earned a geology degree from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wa., home of more than 120 vineyards and the city’s namesake sweet onions.
While Lila promises the city won’t make you cry, her newfound hobby just might: climbing. Lila is looking forward to exploring all the Bighorns have to offer, preferably from great heights. She’s especially interested in getting to climb the Tensleep Canyon.
When not looking for the next line to climb, Lila enjoys hiking and a little skiing.
Importantly, Lila looks forward to working with community members to learn more about how water plays a role in people’s lives. Lila says, “Water is so important and essential to life. We can’t exist in any capacity without it. I want to learn how it impacts people in Sheridan County and how people in our community adapt their lives to it.”
