Beaver Dam Analog Volunteer Day
POSTPONED! We will reschedule as soon as we are able!
Interested in directly helping wildlife and plants in a local waterway thrive? Join us as we get busy as a beaver and build beaver dam analog structures! Beaver dam analogs (BDAs) are a low-cost, high-impact tool that can potentially help improve waterways and the surrounding land, especially during dry periods and droughts. By helping build BDAs today, you’ll be helping Wyoming Game and Fish and the University of Wyoming collect important data that can be used to make our state more resilient to drought!
When: Tuesday, August 22, 8 am to 5 pm. You may leave at any time during the day.
What you should bring: Clothes and footwear that can get wet and muddy. Water bottle.
SCLT will provide lunch and beverages.
Please meet at: Kleenburn Recreation Area, northeast parking lot. We will carpool to the worksite from there.
