Hidden Hoot Trail Volunteer Night
SCLT invites our community to play a crucial role in preparing the Hidden Hoot Trail for the season. Your invaluable help will allow our community to continue experiencing the hoot in Hidden Hoot!
When: Thursday, May 1, beginning at 5 p.m. We will finish by 8 p.m. Come for what you can or stay for the whole evening. More hands make quicker work! (Rain date: Friday, May 2 @ 5 p.m.)
Where: Please meet us at Black Tooth Park, Sheridan. We will carpool and ride bikes to work sites.
How you will help: Volunteers will assist the SCLT team in smoothing the trail tread after the two-wheel tractor has repaired damage from hoofprints and ruts, as well as repair damage to bridges, sides, and other needed maintenance following winter.
What to bring: Bring gloves, sunglasses or eye protection, sturdy shoes or boots, water, snacks, and your bike, running shoes, or hiking boots to enjoy the trail afterward. Please bring square shovels, hard-tooth rakes, pick mattocks, and McLeods if possible.
What SCLT will provide: SCLT will provide tools, instruction, plenty of pizza, extra beverages, and fun!
