These walking tour sites are in the Historic Downtown Sheridan area, focusing on how Big Goose Creek was an essential natural resource for the valley’s earliest inhabitants, through the settlement era, and for those living here today. Participants learn about the Big Goose Creek Buffalo Jump, Sheridan Brewery, Sheridan Manufacturing Company Flour Mill, the Mandel Cabin, Sheridan’s first cabin, and the historic rerouting of Big Goose Creek. This tour is about 0.75 miles total on sidewalks. Please bring water and dress for the weather. SCLT Explore History is free to attend and open to all.
