
Helpful Items SCLT Programs Need Most Now
Make a difference today by helping SCLT programs secure what is needed most. If you want to make any of these items a reality, please specify the item(s) you would like to support with a note when you make your gift. Conservation Program & Big Goose Natural Area
- $100 or less – Hand tools like socket wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers and more.
- $1,000 or less – An entryway bench seat for people to watch and learn about birds and wildlife. Binoculars for bird and wildlife watching, bird feed and storage totes. Local skulls, furs, and fossils for a touch table in what will be our Welcome Center.
- $1,000 or less – Fencing pliers, gloves, and other fencing tools/supplies for wildlife-friendly fence projects and chainsaw blades for invasive species removal at the Big Goose Natural Area.
- $1,000 or less – Cordless powered staple gun to help modify existing fence to wildlife-friendly fence without much hassle. This makes much quicker and lighter work for volunteers!
- $5,000 or less – A water pump and hose to irrigate to better manage invasive grasses, promote cottonwood growth, and fill our stock tank for cattle at the Big Goose Natural Area.
- $60,000 or more – Skid steer and attachments like a post pounder, snow plow, bucket, brush hog, and wire winder for stewardship projects at the Big Goose Natural Area, habitat improvement, wildlife-friendly fence, and wet meadow restoration work. The skid steer and tools will also aid trail construction and maintenance.
Recreation Program
- $1,000 or less – Hand tools. We have so many great community members who volunteer that we sometimes don’t have tools for them all!
- McLeods, pick mattocks, compactors, rakes, shovels, loppers, hand saws, post-hole diggers, and more. We have plenty of weed-whackers thanks to so many kind people donating theirs!
- $5,000 – Lawn Mower to help maintain enjoyable and safe nature trails and open spaces at BGNA.
- $10,000 – Red Grade Trails – Direct support to fund trailhead improvements, trail construction, and damage repairs.
History Program
$1,000 or less Donation:
- Research and documentation, publications, educational materials, digital history stories, registration and travel to Land Trust Alliance Rally for professional development
$5,000 Donation:
- Historic site preservation, National Register of Historic Places nominations, public events, oral history projects
$10,000 Donation:
- Endowment for ongoing historical programming, historic preservation projects
