Volunteer Fence Removal @ Sheridan College
Join SCLT for a volunteer fence removal to help wildlife move more freely.
Date: Wednesday, May 24
Time: Pizza at 5 pm. We’ll work from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
Where: Sheridan College, meet at Watt Ag Building parking lot (UW Ext parking lot).
What you’ll do: You’ll take the first step to make approximately a quarter mile of fence wildlife friendly by removing woven wire standing in the way of wildlife like pronghorn and deer to moving across the land. You will remove staples and roll woven wire. SCLT will finish the modification this summer. In the end, we’ll have a fence that is good for livestock and wildlife alike.
What SCLT will provide: We have gloves, eye protection, fencing pliers available and will provide water. Volunteers are welcome to bring their own gloves, protection, tools and water if they have them.
