Lunchtime Conversations About Open Spaces 2024

Lunchtime Conversations About Open Spaces 2024

What role does outdoor recreation play in maintaining open space and how does it contribute to our vibrant community? Where are we now and where are we going with outdoor recreation? What are the challenges and how do we maintain what is developed?

The last two years we have explored open space through a variety of themes. Agriculture, planning, economic opportunity, water, policy and more. This year we will start each session with a short presentation from a community member followed by breakout discussions in small groups to explore a few questions.  Then the full group will come back together, where participants will be able to join in with questions and discussion.  We know there is always room for more ideas and our hope is you will be willing to share yours. We ask our community to participate by joining in on the conversation.  If there is a group that wants to continue the conversation after the lunch hour, our host Luminous Brewhouse is very willing to accommodate us.

There will be four monthly sessions held at Noon at Luminous Brewhouse:

January 23rd – Municipal Parks and Pathways.

February 27th – County/State Parks, Land, and Trails.

March 19th – Federal Lands.

April 23rd – Private Lands.

The event will be held at noon, so bring your lunch.  Beverages will be available from Luminous Brewhouse.

Lunchtime Conversations About Open Spaces is presented by the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee
