
SCLT Discovery Session: Big Goose Natural Area Plant Walk
Calling all “Flower Finders’ and “Plant Peepers’ for a fun spring morning on the land, where you’ll learn how to identify many of the plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees that grow in the varied habitats of the SCLT Big Goose Natural Area.
You’ll learn from botanist Bob Giurgevich as we embark on a leisurely walk along the trail and across the land, where he’ll share his expert identification tips and tantalizing tidbits about the plants we see.
When: Wednesday, May 28, from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
Where: SCLT Big Goose Natural Area, located at 14 Lane Ln, Sheridan.
What to bring: Please wear comfortable outdoor clothing and sturdy shoes or boots. We recommend dressing in layers and wearing long sleeves and pants. Please bring a water bottle and sun protection. Bug spray may come in handy. We will be walking on uneven ground and possibly in grass and brush. Ticks, mosquitoes, and rattlesnakes are all present at the SCLT Big Goose Natural Area. No pets, please.
