SCLT Discovery Session: Land-Based Safety Awareness

SCLT Discovery Session: Land-Based Safety Awareness

Are you and your family ready for your next outdoor adventure? Join Sheridan Community Land Trust and Sheridan Area Search and Rescue (SASAR) for a fun and hands-on Discovery Session designed to help youth and families feel confident exploring the great outdoors.

This interactive class will cover essential outdoor preparedness topics, including hiking safety, trail navigation, wildlife encounters, and emergency readiness. The team of trained SASAR volunteers will bring these lessons to life through real-world scenarios, map-and-compass demonstrations, and interactive learning stations.

Whether you’re new to hiking or a seasoned trail explorer, this is a great way to build skills, boost confidence, and make sure your adventures are safe and enjoyable.

This is the first in a series of outdoor safety programs — stay tuned for a Water Safety Awareness class coming in May/June 2026.
