In 1885 Mr. Edward A. Whitney arrived in Sheridan. His arrival left an impact on Sheridan toward the growth of the town and is still seen today with his creation of the first educational foundation in Wyoming. Museum at the Bighorns Museum Director, Carrie Ida Edinger will share some of the history of Mr. Edward A. Whitney during his time in Sheridan. She will also share a sneak peek to the planning of Mr. Whitney’s personal collection in the museum’s exhibit space at the museum’s new location on Downtown Sheridan’s Main Street.
