Summer is the perfect time to enjoy Wyoming’s rivers and lakes. Learning a few simple skills can keep you and your family safe!
Join Sheridan Community Land Trust and Sheridan Area Search & Rescue Thursday July 16 at 6pm for aΒ free hands-on Water Safety Workshop taught by Sheridan Area Search & Rescue.
You’ll learn:
π How to recognize common water hazards and dangerous conditions
π¨ What to do if someone is in trouble
πΆ Safe kayak and canoe basics
π Simple rescue techniques with live demonstrations in the creek
π¦Ί How to properly fit and wear a life jacket

Registration is free. Please sign up in advance. Walk-ins are welcome.
Please wear clothing and footwear suitable for getting wet.
Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Participants who complete the session will receive a certificate of completion recognizing their participation. Please note that this course does not provide professional certification or rescue credentials.
