The Sheridan Community Land Trust is excited to announce that the $22,000 Holiday Challenge Match is now open.

This exciting opportunity has been made possible thanks the to generosity of the Knobloch Family Foundation and an anonymous donor from the community. They know the value of what people like you have made possible here in Sheridan County.

Click here to learn how you helped a local family make it easier keep their ranch productive from generation to the next through conservation.

Click here to learn how you are helping to ensure fascinating stories of Sheridan County’s past are not forgotten tomorrow.

Click here to learn how you made a summer day extra special for a father and son at The Green Room Trail.

You helped Ronnie build The Green Room Trail at Malcolm Wallop Park and will allow him and some of the finest trailbuilders in the nation to pick up where they left off this fall after building more than 7 miles of new trails at Poverty Flat, including 3 miles open to equestrians. That means you will be able to go from The Base to Bear Gulch at Red Grade Trails sooner than anyone ever imagined.

You allowed Carrie to create programs like Human Migration of Southeastern Sheridan County and Explore History and interpretative signs about Plains Indian Tribes, Red Grade Road and the Bighorns that all help preserve the stories of the people who have called our area home. That work will continue by telling the stories of the people and communities along the Tongue River Water Trail and our Centennial Farms and Ranches.

And you provided an opportunity for Meghan, our first-ever Conservation Program Manager, to work with more ranching families to keep their working lands working while securing the future for abundant wildlife to thrive in and around clean, clear streams running through the open space and open views we all love in Sheridan County.

Your tax-deductible gift this holiday season will do all of that and so much more. Your gift connects more people to nature through Discovery Sessions. Your gift will create new ways for more people to enjoy the outdoors making it truly easier than ever before to go from your front door to the outdoors in Sheridan County. Your gift will preserve and share more stories of our county’s people and places so they’re not forgotten in the future. And your gift helps conserve local lands and ranches throughout the valleys and prairies of our beautiful Bighorns backyard.

To create even more opportunities for everyone who calls Sheridan County home, the Knobloch Family Foundation and an anonymous donor from the community have issued a challenge. They have committed $22,000 to match any gift you make this holiday season. They have made that generous commitment because they know that when kind people come together to help their community, everyone prospers. To ensure that your kindness is doubled, please make your gift by January 15.

None of it is possible without kind people like you who care. Thank you for all you do and have a great holiday season.

Sincerely,

Brad Bauer
Executive Director

P.S. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of the $22,000 Challenge Match. Any gift you make by January 15 will be matched dollar for dollar. Thank you for your kindness. Help build a truly special Sheridan County by making your gift today.
