Hidden Hoot Trails is now closed for the duration of calving season. This is a seasonal closure that will take place each calving season. When reopened, Hidden Hoot will continue to require that dogs remain on leash at all times. While it is closed, SCLT encourages you to enjoy other trails in Sheridan County.

Soldier Ridge Trail – From the trailhead to the third fence crossing (approx. 2 miles in), dogs must be on leash during calving season AND at all other times when cattle or wildlife are present. From the third fence crossing to the trail’s end, dogs must remain on leash at all times.

SCLT is fortunate to have an opportunity to develop trails like Hidden Hoot and Soldier Ridge that are easily accessible close to home. We love bringing these opportunities to our friends and neighbors. While these trails are open to the public, they are on private land and thanks to a partnership among landowners, ranchers, SCLT, and you, the trail users. We all want to enjoy these trails. Please remember to be kind and neighborly by following the trail rules. Feel free to help fellow trail users be aware of the rules in case they did not know or forgot.

Thank you, stay safe and enjoy our Wyoming wonderland!
