Sheridan Community Land Trust is excited to announce that remodeling at the SCLT Welcome Center is officially complete. What began as a much-needed upgrade to an aging office has transformed into a bright, modern, and efficient space designed to better serve our community for years to come.

Thanks to an inspiring vision from QC10 Architects, skilled craftsmanship from Cirque Solutions, LLC, and the generosity of community donors, the Welcome Center is now more accessible, functional, and welcoming. These improvements allow our staff and volunteers to work more effectively while creating a space that truly reflects SCLT’s mission — connecting people to the land, history, and nature that make Sheridan County home.

And now the real fun begins.

With construction finished, we’re starting to outfit the Welcome Center as a true community gathering place. This flexible, interactive space will host school classes, community groups, visitors to the Big Goose Natural Area, and anyone curious to learn more about the landscapes and stories of our region. From hands-on learning stations to rotating interpretive displays, the Welcome Center will become a place where all ages can explore, discover, and connect.

The first exhibit to take shape will be “Creatures of Night,” coming soon. It will offer a warm, inviting stop for families and visitors after enjoying the trails, riverside paths, and wildlife viewing areas at the SCLT Big Goose Natural Area.

This remodel was made possible by community members who believe in SCLT’s mission and who helped build a space that will inspire thousands. If you’d like to help us take the next steps — adding exhibits, interactive elements, and welcoming touches — this is the perfect moment.

During our Holiday Challenge Match, all gifts are matched $1 for $1, doubling your impact. Make your gift here.

Together, we’re creating a place where Sheridan connects with the land — today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.
